MJ & Angelito · A Navy Engagement at Fisgard Lighthouse and Hatley Castle in Victoria
MJ and Angelito's engagement photo session was taken at the Fisgard Lighthouse National Park and the famous Hatley Castle in Victoria, BC. It was a late spring day in April, and the timing couldn't have been more fitting — Angelito is a navy, and Fisgard Lighthouse was a former naval base. His uniform played out beautifully against the heritage site, the kind of detail that only works when everything lines up.
After Fisgard, we made our way to the famous Hatley Castle in Colwood — the trails and the castle itself gave us a completely different look for the second half of the session. Bright spring light through the evergreens, the castle's stonework doing a lot of the work, and a couple that's easy and natural in front of the camera.
Two locations, one session, two completely different feels — that's the magic of shooting on the Island when the couple is up for the drive between spots.
