Ozzy & Jessica · A Rainy Wedding Day at Dockside Restaurant, Granville Island
Ozzy and Jessica got married at Dockside Restaurant on Granville Island in Vancouver. The rain was not the plan, but it turned out to be one of the best things that could have happened to them. They got ready at the Granville Island Boutique Hotel next door, and shared a touching first look at the venue the moment the makeup was done — just the two of them before the ceremony, before everything else. When the weather closed in we went to the Vancouver Public Library, where we found some partial cover, and it became one of the most fun parts of the day: some of their strongest shots came out of the heavy rain.
Ozzy and Jessica — thank you for trusting me with your wedding day, and for making a rainy one so completely your own. The first look, the session at the Vancouver Public Library, the Chinese tea ceremony and the wedding ceremony at Dockside Restaurant, and a reception that never once paused: it was a huge party day, and a privilege to be there for all of it. If you are planning a wedding and want it photographed like this, I would love to hear from you. Get in touch.
